First Batch of Blankies made it to WIN NYC!

We are very pleased to announce that our first batch of Blankies was received by WIN NYC this past Monday! Thank you to all of our supporters for contributing to our project. We donated 43 Blankies to children living in shelters.

A Big thank you to Team Friends of Parkside Playground, Team Fyo, Team Gather Brooklyn, and Team Seed School!! The blankies are beautiful and were made possible by your donations of time and space!

WIN NYC will receive Blankies this Fall!

The Blankie Project is excited to announce we will be donating blankets to Women In Need, INC!

Win transforms the lives of New York City homeless women and their children by providing a holistic solution of safe housing, critical services and ground-breaking programs they need to succeed on their own  – so the women can regain their independence and their children can look forward to a brighter future.

Soft Launch @ Play for Peace

Hello Everyone!

We are excited to announce that our soft launch at Parkside Playground’s Play for Peace event last Wednesday, October 9, 2013, was amazing!

What a great strong turnout by the community and we thank them for giving our blanket so much love! The children of Prospect Lefferts Gardens generously decorated a community blanket big enough to create 20 personal ‘blankies’ for NY children living in shelters.

Our goal for this Fall is to have 1000 ‘blankies’ decorated and donated by the New Year. Please show your support with donations of fleece, fabric paint, or volunteer at an event.
